Baby Shower!!!!!

Today we had our Baby Shower. It was great. I had my fabulous friend Danielle make the cake and it turned out great. I LOVED IT!!!! We got lots of gifts that will be very useful in taking care of our Baby Girl whom we can hardly wait to hold. Here are some pics from the Baby Shower.

38 WEEKS!!!!!!!

Yesterday we completed week 38!!!! We had our 38 week appointment and everything is great so far. We are 1cm dialated right now. Lets hope this baby comes quick because all I want to do is sleep right now which doesn't leave me much time or energy to get things done around the house. We also have the baby shower date set!!!! It just so happens to be on my niece Elyes's 3rd birthday. There are no good Saturdays to do it this month so we just had to pick one. Our next appointment will be at 40 weeks on our due date the 28th. Hopefully she comes before then because they won't even think about enducing until I'm 2 weeks overdue because of hospital policy. So here's to playing the waiting game.

This Week in a Wrap.

This week has been a wild week. So the last several days we have been having Braxston Hicks Contractions. Yesterday we had our 36 weeks appointment. Everything is going great so far. Baby's heartbeat is fine and she's growing strong. We are so excited and can't wait to meet her. We have 3 1/2 weeks until our due date. Lets hope she comes sooner than that. Today we had our Hospital Tour. I was exhausted. Now it's lunch time, movie time and then nap time. We can hardly wait to hold our Baby Girl!!! 

EXCITING NEWS!!!!!!!

So we had another appointment today. The Doctor said we are doing great!!!! We won't need the steroid booster, at 34 weeks, which is only 3 weeks away, Reed can start taking me out (like we haven't been doing that already lol), and in 2 weeks we have another appointment BUT........it is with my normal OBGYN!!!!! WE ARE NO LONGER IN A HIGH RISK PREGNANCY!!!!!! We are no longer 80% effaced which kinda doesn't make sense but whatever. Reed is a little bummed because he was hoping she would come before the end of the year. The Doctor said we should be able to make it to 40 weeks. He also told us that at 22 weeks he didn't think we would make it this far but that he wasn't allowed to tell us that. No pictures of baby this week but it's ok because I think we have plenty already. On another note, Reed put her crib up last night.

Almost Here!!!!

At our last appointment my cervix seemed to have gotten thiner. At our appointment today we were 80% effaced. No ultrasound today, just checking the heartbeat and measuring my abdomen. I have experienced a few contractions but not alot. Also she finally turned!!!! She is now head down!!! She likes to stick her bum out which is not too comfortable but it's cute. We are still shooting for making it to 32 completed weeks, which will be the 3rd of December. So basically with how much we are effeced we could be seeing our little girl soon. I am excited. I know we should shoot for full term but I am ready to hold my little girl. I'm not really tired of being pregnant yet just tired of being on bed rest and not being able to bend over very much or clean up around the house.

Last Several Appointments

So the last several appointments have just been checking for any changes in my cervix. Luckly none, other than today it got better than it was before!!!! Although being on bed rest sucks, I really enjoy getting to see my daughter grow and develope before she is even born. My mom and I got to see her opening and closing her eyes and mouth. The doctor said she is about 1 lb and 13 oz. Her head is a little small but she still has time to grow and it runs on my side of the family. She is becoming more and more active as every day passes by. She is also starting to move in response to Reed talking, not so much me talking yet but she will get there eventually. We are soo excited to be having this sweet little girl come into our lives. I have never seen or heard of anyone being sent home with some many pictures of their unborn child then my daughter and I. We are soo greatful that everything is still going smoothly during this pregnancy. We are slowly starting to buy all our baby stuff. I also started working on our registries a little more now that we know we are having a girl. It's so fun to see all the little girl stuff that is out there. Online window shopping here we come!!!
